MANTAINING & CLEANING YOUR pH ELECTRODE
To guarantee the quality of the measurements and the durability of the electrode, clean it periodically:
- Prepare a small beaker with electrode cleaning solution (pepsin);
- Leave the electrode tip immersed in the solution for 30 minutes;
- Rinse the electrode in distilled water;
- Remove excess water using a soft paper towel;
- Store the electrode in KCL-3M potassium chloride solution for 1 hour;
- Your Tester is now ready for calibration;
- Always use fresh calibration solutions.
NOTES:
- NEVER leave the electrode in the cleaning solution for more than 30 minutes.
- NEVER use abrasives (brushes, rough paper, etc.) to clean the electrode.
