MAX - Portable color meter
Portable Max-line photometer for water colour using a high-precision sensor, with GLP, data logging and IP65 housing.
Water color analysis is crucial to assess its quality and to identify the presence of contaminants. The color of the water can indicate the presence of dissolved and suspended substances, such as organic compounds, metals and algae, which can affect human health and the environment. In drinking water, changes in color can signal contamination, which impacts water taste, odor and safety. In natural bodies of water, color can indicate the presence of algae and pollutants, which helps to monitor the ecosystem. In industrial and treatment processes, water color can influence efficiency and cleanliness of the treated water.
It has a GLP (good laboratory practice) function, allowing you to check the date the product was calibrated, the standards used and the calibration expiration date (optional). It also has quick and easy user firmware updates, guaranteeing the longevity of your product. Akso’s AK405 Color Max is a meter designed to provide fast and accurate measurements of water color using an advanced, highprecision sensor.
This portable instrument combines a compact design with an intuitive digital interface, making it easy to use and offering instant readings. The AK405 Color Max includes a display with interactive messages, battery level indication, and is available in four languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian.

AK405 MAX Color photometer performs digital readout measurements quickly and efficiently using the Platinum-Cobalt method, which is considered the standard method for measuring colour in drinking water and natural waters.
The measurement of this parameter is used to assess the potability of water.
The AK405 Color photometer performs True and Apparent colour analyses in the range of 0 to 500 PCU, where true colour is the result of measuring filtered water, i.e. without suspended solids.
Apparent colour is the result obtained without filtering the sample.
