pH Electrode for Semi-Solids (with ATC) - BNC/RCA
The AK1002 pH electrode is suitable for semisolid and highly viscous samples, such as cheeses, creams, doughs, cosmetics, and dense foods. It features a range of 2 to 12 pH, a single porous PTFE junction, and BNC and RCA connectors for pH and temperature, respectively.
The AK1002 is a specialised pH and temperature electrode designed for direct measurement in food and semi-solid samples such as cheese, meat, creams, jams and cosmetics. It is built for insertion into soft solids and emulsions that would clog a conventional laboratory electrode, giving reliable readings without sample dilution.
The electrode connects via a BNC/RCA plug on a 1 metre cable and is compatible with AKSO portable and bench pH meters.

Regular cleaning ensures measurement accuracy and extends electrode life. Follow this procedure periodically.
Prepare a small beaker with electrode cleaning solution (pepsin)
Leave the electrode tip immersed in the solution for 30 minutes
Rinse the electrode in distilled water
Remove excess water using a soft paper towel
Store the electrode in KCl 3M potassium chloride solution for 1 hour
Your tester is now ready for calibration — always use fresh calibration solutions
