Overview

The AK90 was developed to make routine pH measurement faster and easier at the point of use. Compact and simple to operate, it is suitable for water and wastewater treatment, swimming pools, hydroponics, aquaculture, aquariums, food and beverage production, boiler and cooling tower monitoring, and industrial quality control.

By measuring pH and temperature with one instrument, the AK90 helps users check sample conditions directly where the analysis is needed.

Replaceable electrode: longer instrument life

The electrode remains in direct contact with samples and may lose performance over time due to wear, contamination, or storage conditions. With the AK90, the electrode can be replaced without replacing the entire tester.

This extends the useful life of the instrument, reduces long term maintenance costs, and allows measurements to resume quickly when a new electrode is required. Keeping a spare electrode available can also help prevent interruptions in daily testing.

pH and temperature: two results in one instrument

The AK90 measures pH from 0.0 to 14.0 and temperature from 0 to 50 °C. This allows users to check both parameters during the same analysis, without carrying separate instruments.

The result is a faster and simpler measuring routine in the laboratory, in the field, or close to the process.

Calibration at up to three points: adjustment for the required pH range

Calibration can be performed with pH 4.01, 7.00, and 10.01 standards, covering acidic, neutral, and alkaline ranges. This allows the tester to be adjusted according to the pH range that is most important for each application.

Calibration before measurement helps users check instrument response and maintain a more consistent testing routine.

Automatic temperature compensation: easier routine measurement

Electrode response can change with sample temperature. Automatic temperature compensation accounts for this variation during measurement, making the AK90 easier to use under different conditions.

This reduces the need for manual adjustments when sample temperature changes and helps users follow the same measuring procedure throughout the routine.

Compact design: easy to carry and use

With a weight of only 85 grams, battery operation and automatic shutoff, and the AK90 is easy to carry between different sampling and control points.

Its compact tester format supports quick checks and reduces the amount of equipment users need to carry during daily work.

Complete kit: ready to start measuring

The AK90 comes with a storage and carrying case, pH 4, 7 and KCl solution for electrode storage.

The complete set keeps the tester and accessories organized and protected, with the main items required for calibration, transport, and electrode care already included.

Simple pH control for daily testing

With a replaceable electrode, calibration at up to three points, automatic temperature compensation, and a compact design, the AK90 provides a practical solution for routine pH measurement.

The result is faster testing, simpler maintenance, and the freedom to measure directly where the process takes place.

The Ak90 hydro pH meter is a practical and versatile instrument, suitable for controlling pH and temperature parameters in water treatment, food industries, and aqueous solutions in general, ensuring the quality of the final product.

It features a replaceable electrode and automatic temperature compensation (ATC), ensuring fast and practical measurements. With up to 3 fixed points of adjustment and an easy-to-use interface, verifying your results is simple and effective.

Ideal for quick, accurate checks in the field, the AK90 is also used for analysing water in pools, lithographic processes, boiler and cooling tower, aquaculture, aquarium and nutrients levels in Hydroponics.

Maintaining your pH electrode

Regular cleaning ensures measurement accuracy and extends electrode life. Follow this procedure periodically.

  1. 1

Prepare a small beaker with electrode cleaning solution (pepsin)

  2. 2

Leave the electrode tip immersed in the solution for 30 minutes

  3. 3

Rinse the electrode in distilled water

  4. 4

Remove excess water using a soft paper towel

  5. 5

Store the electrode in KCl 3M potassium chloride solution for 1 hour

  6. 6

Your tester is now ready for calibration — always use fresh calibration solutions

Important

  • Never leave the electrode in cleaning solution for more than 30 minutes
  • Never use abrasives (brushes, rough paper, etc.) to clean the electrode
